Robert W. Clos, 74, of Pittsburgh, PA, formerly of Syracuse, passed away Thursday, August 3, 2017 at home. He was a longtime resident of the Syracuse area before moving to Pittsburgh to be with his family.
Robert was an Air Force veteran. He was employed with Temple-Inland, Inc. for 16 years and previously worked for the Packaging Corporation of America. An avid race car fan, Robert enjoyed cars and antiquing, but above all, loved spending time with family and friends.
Robert was predeceased by his wife, Ruth; son, Robert H. Clos; and sister, Suzanne Kazel.
Surviving are his daughters, Cynthia (Richard) Broxie of Pittsburgh, PA, Sandra (James) Platt of Altoona, PA, Renee (Thomas) Hitchcock of Port Byron and Patricia (Todd) Boring of Cherry Tree, PA; son, C. Edward (Deanna) Brower of Hanover, PA; sister, Carol Greis of Camillus; 19 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Monday, August 7 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
Services will be Tuesday, August 8 at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Robert will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.
