Robert Kasson Champlain, 91, of Camillus, passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at Loretto. A lifetime resident of Syracuse, he was a graduate of Split Rock High School. Robert was a Navy veteran and engineer at AT&T. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and hunting. He was a devoted husband, brother, father and grandfather and is now reunited with the love of his life, Sarah.
Robert was predeceased by his wife, Sarah "Sally," in 1998.
Surviving are his daughters, Julia (Michael) Gauzza, Mary (Tom) Humphrey, Lora Champlain and Cathy (Stephen) Emery; grandchildren, Loren (Matthew) Ulrich, Joseph Gauzza, Jacob and Bobby Christopher, Sarah Crudele and Norah, Kasson and Roan Emery; sister, Margaret Champlain; brother, Howard (Cheryl) Champlain; and nieces, Melinda Ferber, Pamela Champlain, Cathleen Sturtz and Susan Zogby; nephew, Jeff Connors; and several grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Saturday, December 12 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Face coverings are required.
