Robert J. Ten Eyck
June 21, 1922 — February 19, 2018
Robert J. Ten Eyck, 95, of Syracuse, passed away Monday, February 19, 2018 at Van Duyn. Born in Mottville, he was a lifetime resident of the Syracuse area.
Robert was a Coast Guard veteran of World W II. He retired in 1982 after 35 years with NY Telephone and was an avid NY Yankee and SU football fan.
Robert was predeceased by his wife, Shirlee, in 2002; son, Terry, in 2015; and grandson, Christopher Phillips, in 2014.
Surviving are his daughters, Roberta (Bobbie) O'Brien of Camillus and Alanna (Lawrence) Hass of Westvale; son, Tim (Heather) of Onondaga Hill; daughter-in-law, Diane Ten Eyck of Liverpool; companion, Ann Grobsmith of Onondaga Hill; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be private.
Robert will be laid to rest in Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum, St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Foundation, 4899 Belfort Rd., Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
