Robert J. Butler

Robert J. Butler, 79, of Camillus, passed away Friday, October 13, 2017. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, he was a graduate of Vocational High School. Robert retired from Strathmore Paints in 2004 after 46 years. He was a member of the CNY Street Rod Assoc. and Teamsters Local 317. He enjoyed spending time with his family.

Robert was predeceased by his brother, Donald Butler.

Surviving are his wife of 60 years, the former Joan Hollington; daughters, Brenda (Joseph) Koch of Minnesota and Suzanne Butler of Chicago, IL; sons, John (Karie) of Camillus and Patrick of Georgia; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call Thursday, October 19 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.

Services will be Friday, October 20 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Robert will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.
