Robert F. Ragan, Jr., 58, of Scotia, died Monday, August 22, 2005 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady. Born in Syracuse on Monday, March 24, 1947, he was the son of Robert Francis Ragan and Patricia Margaret Connelly. Bob was a 1969 graduate of Cayuga Community College. He was a member of the Air National Guard and retired in June 2002 as an aircraft engine mechanic with the Air National Guard in Schenectady after 25 years. Bob was a member of the Non-commissioned Officers Club. A railroad enthusiast, Bob was a member of the National Railroad Association. He also enjoyed electronics, video cameras and computers. Bob's father, Robert F. Ragan, died Feb. 11, 1994. Surviving are his mother, Patricia Ragan, of Camillus; sister, Teresa Monti of Camillus; brothers: Michael of Denver, Colorado and John of Camillus and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, August 26, 2005 at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus and at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. Friends may call Thursday, August 25, 2005 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.
