Robert F. Kenific, 85, of Camillus, passed away Saturday. Born in Niagara Falls in 1930, Bob had lived in Camillus since 1971. He was a 1952 graduate of Niagara University. A Navy veteran, Robert served aboard the Destroyer USS Joseph P. Kennedy as a naval officer for more than three years and worked as a salesman with business equipment for over 55 years. He enjoyed skiing, golfing, hunting and boating. Surviving are his wife of 62 years, the former Patricia Ann Shanahan; daughters, Karen (Tim) Scanlon of Brewerton and MaryBeth (Chuck) Moonen of Bradenton, FL; sons, Robert F. (Sindee) of Hillsborough, NJ, Kevin of Harrison, NJ and John (Katie) of Westford, MA; sister, Jean Crowell of Cheektowaga; 13 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Tuesday, March 22 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, March 23 at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Church. Robert will be laid to rest in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
