Robert C. Furth, 89, of Camillus, died Tuesday, April 5, 2005 at home. Born in Trenton, NJ on Saturday, July 13, 1915, he was the son of Elmore and Ethel Furth. He lived in Skaneateles until moving to Camillus 25 years ago. Bob was a 1938 graduate of the Newark School of Industrial Arts. He was formerly employed by Lipe Rollway Bearing and L.A.B. Corp. in Skaneateles, retiring in 1991. He was a member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, Chapter 19, in Syracuse and the Immanuel United Methodist Church. Bob enjoyed fishing, camping, stamp collecting and model railroads. Surviving are his wife of 26 years, the former Elizabeth Cullinan, of Camillus; daughters, Gail Furth Norwood of Cayuta, and Patricia Leigh Vanderbrook of Westlake Village, California; son, David Allen Furth of Skaneateles; brother, Frank Furth of Killingworth, Connecticut and grandchildren, Kimberly, Robert, Jennifer, Christian, Sierra and Kelsey. Bob was predeceased by his twin sister, Ruth Furth Lewis. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, April 8, 2005 at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus with Rev. Craig French officiating. Friends may call preceding the service from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.
