Robert Bishop

Robert H. Bishop, 56, of Liverpool, passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2009. Born in Syracuse on Thursday, May 28, 1953, he was a resident of the Syracuse area for many years. He also lived in Florida for several years. Robert was a graduate of Syracuse University and a Navy veteran. He was previously employed by New Venture Gear. A member of Liverpool First United Methodist Church, he was a Scottish Rite Mason. Robert was an avid collector of antiques and cars and volunteered with Junior Achievement of CNY. He enjoyed traveling, boating and the ocean. Robert was predeceased by his father, Harold M. Bishop. Surviving are his wife, the former Margaret Hayes; daughter, Rachel and son, Elliott, both of Liverpool; mother and stepfather, Eleanor and Phillip Brenner of New Mexico; brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Roseanne Bishop of Michigan; sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie and Rick Dudasik of New Mexico; and many nieces and nephews. Services will be private. Robert will be laid to rest in the Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Buranich Funeral Home, Camillus.
