Robert A. Sacco, 84, the son of the late Frank and Frances Adorno Sacco passed away on June 27, in Gideon, Missouri. Born in Syracuse, Robert was a graduate of Blodgett Vocational High School and was a chief petty officer in the United States Navy for 20 years, serving in Vietnam. He was also a member of the St. Ann Catholic Church of Malden. On January 28, 1958, at Camp Pendleton, CA, Robert was united in marriage to Georgeanna “Jodie” Jackson. She preceded him in death on May 4, 2018.
Surviving are his sons, Richard Sacco of Jacksonville, FL and Robert (Heidi) Sacco Jr., of Shamong, NJ; daughters, Carolyn (Randy) Tate of Gideon, MO, and Frances (Karl) Leister of Jesup, GA; brothers, Frank J. Sacco and Ronald (Terry) Sacco of Camillus, sister Carolyn Kowalewski of Camillus and brother Anthony (Shirley) Sacco, of FL; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; many other nieces and nephews in the Syracuse area; and many other relatives and friends.
The public is invited to attend a memorial service for Robert which will be held on Tuesday, July 13 at 12:00 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus with Deacon Nick Alvaro officiating. Robert was laid to rest in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Bloomfield, MO.
