Robert A. Gerardi

Robert A. Gerardi, 73, of Elbridge, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2009 at home. Born in Canton on Sunday, November 10, 1935, he was the son of Vincent R. Gerardi and Adrienne W. Sellers Gerardi. He lived in Elbridge for the past 47 years. Robert was employed by Henderson & Johnson Co. for 35 years and was owner of Gerardi Construction for the past 15 years. He was a member of Local 519 Plasterers & Cement Masons Union. A communicant of St. Patrick's Church in Jordan, he enjoyed golf, hunting, horseshoes and bowling. He also enjoyed spending time with his family. He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Jessica Whalen. Surviving are his wife of 47 years, the former Erma LaPoint; daughters and son-in-law, Tammy and Lew Carvalho of Lodi, New York and Vicky Whalen of Louisville, Kentucky; sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Dina Gerardi of Charlotte, North Carolina and Andrew and Laura Gerardi of North Syracuse; 10 grandchildren; two step grandchildren; one great- step grandson and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 28, 2009 in St Patrick’s Church, Jordan where Rev. John R. DeLorenzo will celebrate a funeral Mass. Relatives and friends may call Monday, April 27, 2009 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
