Rita C. Eallonardo Ray, 85, of Camillus, passed away Friday, May 30, 2008 at Van Duyn Home & Hospital. Born in Syracuse on Thursday, August 3, 1922, she was the daughter of Anthony Eallonardo and Irene Alvino Eallonardo. She lived in Camillus for approximately 70 years. She was a graduate of Camillus High School and attended St. Mary's Hospital School of Nursing. Employed by GTE Products Corp., she retired in 1984 after 24 years. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church. She was also a member of the Camillus Elks Ladies' Auxiliary. She enjoyed cards, golf and bowling. Rita's husband, Philip, died June 14, 2000. Surviving are her sons and daughter-in-law, Ralph Ray of Baldwinsville and Michael and Judith Ray of Camillus; grandsons and wives, Daniel and Julie Ray of Liverpool, Jason and Maureen Ray of Cicero and Justin and Traci Ray of Pennsylvania; great-grandchildren, Joseph and Ashley; and many nieces and nephews. Services will be at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus and at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. Friends may call Monday, June 2, 2008 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
