Richard "Dick" P. Cizenski, 91, of Camillus, passed away Saturday. Born and raised in Solvay, he lived most of his life in the Camillus area. A 1947 graduate of Solvay High School, Dick was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He retired in 1991 after 44 years with First Trust & Deposit Company which is currently Key Bank. He also worked part-time in the finance department at the NYS fair for many years.
A communicant of Holy Family Church, Dick was an usher, finance committee member and belonged to the Senior Group. He was also a former member of the Solvay-Geddes-Camillus Kiwanis Club. Dick was proud of his Polish heritage and enjoyed the food, music and holidays.
Dick was predeceased by his parents, Helen and Gustave Cizenski; sisters, Ann Allard and Julia Corey; and brothers, Anthony and Edmund.
Surviving are his wife of 63 years, the former Beverly Oliver; daughter, Diane (Timothy) Robinson of Syracuse; sons, Steven (Theresa) of Fairmount, David (Kathleen) of Syracuse and Michael (Lynnanne) of Cayuga; granddaughters, Hannah, Amanda and Jennifer; grandsons, Eric (Nicole), Marc (Meghan), Jeffrey (Jenna), Scott, Brian, Alan, Kyle, Michael, Daniel and Adam; great-granddaughters, Madelynn, Loralee and Bria; great-grandsons, Luke, Carter and Cole; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
There will be no calling hours.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, February 4 at 12:30 p.m. in Holy Family Church, 127 Chapel Dr., Syracuse. Richard will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.
