Richard Anthony Lucio, 80, of Solvay, passed away Saturday. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, he was a 1959 graduate of Solvay High School and attended Bakersfield College. He worked for Allied Chemical for over 20 years. He then opened his own restaurant, Lucio’s Seafood, with his wife, Rose Ann. He was a former avid bowler, having won Bowling for Dollars and was crowned “King of the Hill.” Rich enjoyed golfing, cooking, interior and exterior painting with his brother-in-law, Bob and was an avid NY Yankees fan. Above all, he loved spending time with his family, especially when they were together at their family camp in Sylvan Beach.
Rich was predeceased by his wife, Rose Ann, in 2019; and brother, William Lucio, in 1990.
Surviving are his sons, Scott and Richard (Jackie), both of Syracuse, and Darren of Solvay; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Judy (Robert) Weslowski and Susan (John) Hubbard, and Carol Lupone of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; both of Syracuse; brothers, Robert (Denise) of Syracuse, Donald (Nancy) Vincentini of Baldwinsville, Michael (Barbara) Vincentini of Syracuse and John Vincentini of Bradenton, FL; and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Saturday, August 6 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Immanuel United Methodist Church, 303 Kasson Rd., Camillus. Services will follow at noon.
