Richard L. Fischer

Richard L. Fischer, 77, of Syracuse, passed away Monday, August 16, 2010 at home. Born in Syracuse on Tuesday, August 13, 1932, he was the son of Eleanor Kubiak and William Fischer. A lifetime resident of Syracuse, he was employed by Niagara Mohawk Power Corp. Richard was a graduate of Central Tech High School and Syracuse University. He enjoyed computers, photography and watching movies. Surviving are his brother and sister-in-law, William and Shirley Fischer of Camillus; and nephew, William (Sharon) Fischer of Syracuse. There will be no services or calling hours. Arrangements are by the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 6725 Lyons St., P.O. Box 7, East Syracuse, NY 13057.
