Richard Anthony Brostek, 77, of Syracuse, passed away Friday, March 6, 2020 at Crouse Hospital. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, he was a graduate of Solvay High School and earned his associate degree from Simmons School of Mortuary Science. He was employed with Chrysler for 32 years before retiring in 2006 and was a communicant of Holy Family Church.
Richard was predeceased by his parents, Anthony and Elvira; and brother, Gary.
Surviving are his wife, Carol; daughter, Christina (Nicholas) Middleton of Vancouver; daughter, Catherine (Michael) Dailey of Raleigh, NC; grandchildren, Sophia, Abigail, Bennett, Samuel and Archer; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Sunday, March 15 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, March 16 at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Church, 127 Chapel Dr., Syracuse. Richard will be laid to rest in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt.
