Rev. John E. Fetcho, 83, of Syracuse, passed away Friday, June 26, 2020 at Syracuse Home. Born in Peckville, PA, Father was a graduate of St. Patrick's High School, St. Andrew's Seminary and St. Bernard’s Seminary in Rochester. He attended Catholic University and the University of Notre Dame and was ordained from the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on May 16, 1964. Father Fetcho retired from Our Lady of Peace in Lakeland after serving 18 years as pastor. He also served at St. Patrick's Church in Binghamton, St. Margaret's Church in Mattydale, St. Ambrose Church in Endicott and St. Vincent's Church in Vestal. He enjoyed golf and followed Notre Dame football.
Father Fetcho was predeceased by his parents, John and Catherine.
Surviving are his sisters, Sister Mary Ann Fetcho, CSJ of Liverpool and Theresa (Gerald) McCarthy of Syracuse; brothers, Thomas (Cindy) of Camillus and Leonard (Paula) of San Diego, CA; aunts, Margie and Letizia; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends may call Tuesday, June 30 from 4 to 7 p.m. in St. Marianne Cope at Our Lady of Peace Church, 203 Halcomb St., Lakeland. Vespers will be at 7 p.m. We will be following the NYS guidelines regarding capacity and social distancing. Face coverings are required.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, July 1 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Marianne Cope at Our Lady of Peace Church. Father Fetcho will be laid to rest in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt.
