Reneé Carolin

August 14, 1972 — November 28, 2024

Camillus

Renee Carolin, 52, of Camillus, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2024. Born in Beacon on August 14, 1972, she graduated from Essex Junction High School in Essex, VT, in 1990, where she proudly served as Senior Class President. In 1994, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Legal Studies from Marist College, graduating with honors. Following her studies, Renee moved to Syracuse, where she resided for nearly 30 years.

Renee was a dedicated employee of Akkodis (formerly Modis) for the last 25 years, and most recently served as Director of Client Solutions. She had been recognized as a top sales performer for many years and built lasting relationships with her colleagues and hundreds of clients throughout her tenure.

Renee was equally dedicated to her community, especially volunteering with Empower Federal Credit Union, March of Dimes, and teaching religious education. She felt compelled to help others and generously gave her time and resources to benefit those less fortunate, from people in need to rescuing her beloved dog, Clyde.

Renee was a long-time communicant of both St. Joseph’s Church and Holy Family Church. Over the past year, she deepened her relationship with Jesus by studying the Bible through Bible Study Fellowship.

Beyond her faith and kindness, Renee was devoted to her family and friends. Her greatest role was being a mother to her son, Alexander, whom she loved “to the moon and back.” Renee took great joy in cheering for Alex throughout his childhood and supporting his many activities and sports teams, with a special love for lacrosse and hockey. She treasured the friendships she formed with the families of his teammates and valued the time spent together at games, tournaments, and championships. One of Renee’s greatest joys was spending time with family and friends at the family cottage on the St. Lawrence River. She loved to travel and was blessed to visit many of the world’s most beautiful places in the company of her closest friends and loved ones.

Surviving are her son, Alex; parents, Paul and Suzanne Parrott; siblings, Randy (Jennifer) Parrott and Robin (Kirk) Groninga; a niece and nephews; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

To celebrate Renee’s life, relatives and friends are invited to gather on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at 11 a.m. in Holy Family Church at 127 Chapel Dr., Syracuse.

Entombment may be held at a later date at St. Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum, DeWitt.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a gift to support Holy Family Church’s Food Pantry, 127 Chapel Dr., Syracuse, NY 13219, or to Helping Hounds Dog Rescue, 7268 Caswell St., N. Syracuse, NY 13212.
