Rena Benjamin Walberger, 92, of Camillus, passed away Monday, May 17, 2021 at Loretto. Born in Greenfield, MA, she lived in Vermont and New Hampshire before moving to the Syracuse area in 1966. Rena graduated from Greenfield High School as majorette of the band and was employed with Super Duper and P&C for several years. She was a member of the Camillus Elks Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed golfing, bowling, baking and spending time with her family.
Rena was predeceased by her first husband, Roy Benjamin Jr., in 1971; second husband, Walter Walberger Jr., in 2012; sisters, Betty Wyman and Lillian Couture; brother, Clayton Cromack; and son-in-law, Joseph Rizzo.
Surviving are her daughters, Carol Benjamin of Titusville, FL, Patty Jordan of Smyrna, GA, Linda Rizzo of Syracuse and Kathy (Scott) Armstrong of Liverpool; stepchildren, Ronald Walberger of North Syracuse, Judy Walberger of Baldwinsville and Patty Bellucci of Baldwinsville; eight grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Thursday, May 20 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Face coverings are required.
Services will be Friday, May 21 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Rena will be laid to rest in Riverview Cemetery, Baldwinsville.
