Raymond P. Prowak

February 21, 1929 — December 10, 2020

Raymond Paul Prowak, 91, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Thursday at Iroquois Nursing Home. Born in Auburn, he moved to the Syracuse area in 1954. A graduate of Auburn East High School, Raymond was an Air Force veteran and employed with JPMorgan Chase for 37 years before retiring in 1990. He was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church and member and past president of the Holy Name Society. Ray benefited greatly from the loving care of his wife. This was especially evident in the last few years as his health declined and he was able to stay in his home because of her devoted care.

Surviving are his wife of 66 years, the former Mary Lou Melillo; sons, James (Amy) of Rochester, Robert (Jodie Incaudo) of Syracuse and David (Christine) of Syracuse; grandchildren, Michael, Kimberly, Madison and Sarah; great-grandchildren, Emmett and Talia; and two nephews.
