Pietrina 'Pat' Vella

Pietrina “Pat” Vella, 82, of Camillus, passed away Friday, February 13, 2009 In Auburn at the home of her son and daughter-in-law. Born in Auburn on Monday, August 30, 1926, she was the daughter of Joseph Tabone and Catherine Panarisi Tabone. She resided in Auburn until moving to Syracuse. Pat lived in Camillus since 1960. A former secretary at Holy Family School, she was also a communicant of Holy Family Church. Pat was predeceased by her husband, Samuel J. Vella; sisters, Katherine Vivenzio, and Mary Tabone and daughter-in-law, Nancy R. Vella. Surviving are her sons and daughter-in-law, Samuel and Shirley Vella of Auburn and Jerry Vella of Syracuse; sisters and brother-in-law, Josephine and Ben Mandolfo of Syracuse and Carmela Tabone of Auburn; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Jane Tabone of Auburn; granddaughter and husband, Beth Vella and Phillip Elmore of Liverpool; grandson and wife, Mark and Toni Vella of Auburn; great-grandchildren, Gabrielle, Preston and Rebecca Vella and Marissa Elmore; sister-in-law, Rose Lentini of Auburn and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus and at 11 a.m. in Holy Family Church, Fairmount, where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. Relatives and friends may call Monday, February 16, 2009 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Pat will be laid to rest in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Auburn.
