Phyllis (Utter) DeMarchi, 81, of Syracuse, passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at The Centers at St. Camillus. She was a lifetime resident of the Syracuse area. Phyllis was a self-employed hairdresser for 50 years. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.
Phyllis was predeceased by her husband, Howard, in 2012; sisters, Corrine Fitch and Elaine Stauss; and brother, Donald Utter.
Surviving are her daughters, Ranae Barilla and Sherry (Robert) Mezzo Bouchard; grandchildren, Nicole and Michael Caruso, Garth Orbino, Ashley (Sean) Devaney, Aaron Bouchard, Britton (Ana) Bouchard and Mark Barilla; great-grandchildren, Dorianna, Jayden, Ava, Liam and Easton; close nieces, Gay (Cliff) Six and Sue (Dan) Thompson; goddaughter, McKayleigh DeJohn; close family friend, Colleen DeJohn; and several cousins.
Relatives and friends may call Monday, April 22 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
Services will be Tuesday, April 23 at 10 a.m. in St. Michael's Lutheran Church, 5108 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Phyllis will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.
