Phyllis H. Golden, 99, of Syracuse and formerly of Muskegon, Michigan, died Monday, November 24, 2008 at Loretto. Born in Crystal Valley, Michigan on Saturday, August 7, 1909, she was the daughter of Evart M. Hill and Celia G. Wheaton Hill. She lived in Muskegon until moving to Syracuse in 1997. Phyllis was employed by Robert Valk, DDS and Collins Music House, both in Muskegon, for 35 years. She was a member of Central Lutheran Church in Muskegon since 1945. She enjoyed sewing, reading and spending time with her family. Her husband, Albert, died in 1970. She was also predeceased by her sister, Norma Shlafer, and brother, Howard Hill. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Janice and William Kunkle of Camillus; son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Mary Golden of Wichita Falls, Texas; grandchildren, Gary Kunkle, Deborah Knight, Kristine (Christopher) Isgar, all of Syracuse, Michael (Donna) Dillon and Andrea (William) Nichols, both of Texas; great-grandchildren, Daniel, Eric, Dustin, Sara, Madeline and Christine and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 29, 2008 in St. Michael's Lutheran Church. Graveside services will be at 1p.m. Tuesday, December 2, 2008 in Oakwood Cemetery, Muskegon.
