Petar Glamcevski, 87, of Syracuse, passed away Monday at St. Joseph's Health Hospital. Born and raised in Macedonia, he immigrated to the United States in 1964. Petar was a member of St. George Macedonian Orthodox Church and served in the Macedonian military. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening. Most of all, he loved his family and spending time with them, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Petar was predeceased by his grandchildren, Anna and Jonathan Jolevski; parents, Tale and Ilinka; sisters, Petra Lingurovska and Mara Glamcevski; brother, Aleksandar; and daughter-in-law, Vicki Glamcevski.
Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Blaguna; son, Scott; daughter, Elica Jolevski; grandchildren, Peter, Louie (Rachel), Steven (Lisl), and Jessica (Adam); great-grandchildren, Leah, Chloe, and Vinny; brother, Josif (Liljana); and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Relatives and friends may call Sunday, February 19 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. A Trisagion service will be held at 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Services will be held Monday, February 20 at 10 a.m. in St. George Macedonian Orthodox Church.
Petar will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery, Syracuse.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family.
