Pauline G. Schiess

Pauline G. Schiess, 103, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 18, 2019 at Van Duyn Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing. She was born in Wisconsin and lived in Syracuse. Pauline was devoted to her faith, always putting the needs of others before her own. She enjoyed baking, cooking and caring for her family. Pauline was a devoted sister and loving aunt.

The family would like to thank Pauline’s wonderful friends, Maureen Quirk, Richard Brickwedde and the compassionate caregivers at Van Duyn Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing for their care during these last years.

Pauline was predeceased by her siblings, Carl W. Schiess, Herman L. Schiess, Anton C. Schiess, Emma C. Hobbs, Emilie M. Schiess, Bertha V. Schiess, John T. Schiess, Mary A. Schiess and Joseph A. Schiess.

Surviving are her niece, Janis L. (Hobbs) White of Bath; great-nephews, John P. Bloomer of Florence, KY and Robert S. Bloomer of Rural Retreat, VA; and great-niece Danica M. (Bloomer) Sawtelle of Puyallup, WA.

There will be no services. Pauline will be laid to rest in St. Mary’s Mausoleum, DeWitt.
