After her long courageous battle with breast cancer, with her family at her side, Paula was escorted home by the angels on Monday, February 1, 2010. Born in Auburn on Sunday, July 22, 1956, she was the daughter of Clifton Michael Blaisdell and Elizabeth Kowal Blaisdell McDonald. She moved to Syracuse in 1971 and graduated from Henninger High School in 1975. Paula was employed for 32 years with JP Morgan Chase. She was a communicant of St. Charles Borromeo Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Paula was predeceased by her father, Clifton Blaisdell; and brother, Clifton “Kippy” Blaisdell Jr. Surviving are her husband of 34 years, Brian; daughters and sons-in-law, Stephanie and Gerald Daeffler of Weedsport and Jennifer and James Conklin of Montgomery; her mother, Elizabeth McDonald of Syracuse; sisters and brothers, Donna (James) Malinowski of Montezuma, Michael (Sharon) Blaisdell of Auburn, Deborah (Carl) Jones of Montezuma, Maryann (Patrick) Hartung of Syracuse, Michele (Clifford) Orr of Penn Yan, Gregory (Doreen) McDonald of Baltimore, Maryland, and Arthur Scott McDonald of Syracuse; two grandchildren, with one due in May; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Services will be at 9 a.m. Thursday, February 4, at Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus and at 10 a.m. in St. Charles Borromeo Church where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. Relatives and friends may call Wednesday, February 3 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Paula will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery, Syracuse.
