Paul R. Himpler, 88, of Pennellville, passed away Sunday at Crouse Hospital. A lifetime resident of the Camillus area, he was a graduate of Solvay High School. Paul was a Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict and worked as a serviceman for National Grid for over 20 years. He was a communicant of Holy Family Church and life member of the Fairmount Fire Department. He enjoyed traveling and vacationing, adored his dog Maggie, but above all, loved spending time with his family.
Paul was predeceased by his loving wife, Diane, in 1988; son, Mark; parents, Frank and Mary; and siblings, Thelma, Mary Louise, Dorothy, Caroline, Frank, Ed and Robert.
Surviving are his daughters, Linda (Ed) Caley of Pennellville and Karen (Tom) Coleman of Charleston, SC; grandchildren, Jennifer, Jeremy, John, Michael, Christopher and Jason; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Florence Schuelke and Helen Rivers, both of Liverpool and Ruth Howard of Bridgewater; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, July 15 at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Church, 127 Chapel Dr., Syracuse.
Paul will be laid to rest in St. Mary’s Cemetery, DeWitt.
