Paul D. Nelk

Paul D. Nelk, 82, of Onondaga Hill, passed away Friday, May 20, 2016 at University Hospital. Born in Hazleton, he moved to the Syracuse area in 1953. A graduate of Hazleton High School, Paul was an Army veteran. He retired from the Syracuse Developmental Center in 2002 and also worked for Church & Dwight. Paul enjoyed gardening, but above all, he loved spending time with his family. Surviving are his wife of 55 years, the former Virginia Robinson; daughters, Lori (Stephen) Hachey of Cicero, Sheri Nelk of Camillus and Teri (Rich) Capria of Liverpool; son, David Nelk; grandchildren, Shane, Brenden, Brianna and Nathan; and several nieces and nephews. There will be no calling hours. Services and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Humane Association of Central New York, Inc., 4915½ W. Taft Rd., Liverpool, NY 13088.
