Paul A. Uncle Paul Henry, 86, of Goodland, Florida and formerly of Syracuse, died Tuesday, March 27, 2007, in Naples, Florida. Born on Thursday, October 7, 1920, he was the son of Paul Henry and Florence Ann Lauer Henry. He was raised and lived in Auburn for 25 years and then lived in Syracuse for more than 30 years until retiring to Florida in the early 1980's. Paul was a graduate of Auburn East High School and Holy Cross College. He was a captain with the Army Air Corps in the Pacific Theatre during World War II. After the war, Paul worked for Shrine Theatres and ran the Elmwood Theatre in Syracuse in the 1950's. He worked for Onondaga County as a probation officer for more than 20 years before retiring. His interests included boating, swimming and enjoying the warm Florida weather in later years. Surviving are his sister and brother-in-law, Virginia H. and Edward Koes of Onondaga Hill; nieces and nephews, including Kelly Tingley of Chico, California, James and MaryLou Koes of Camillus, Thomas and Nancy Koes of Marcellus and David and Debbie Koes of Niskayuna; two great nieces; four great nephews and several cousins. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday, April 2, 2007 at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus and at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Church where Rev. Phillip Brockmyre will celebrate a funeral Mass. Friends may call Sunday, April 1, 2007 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Auburn.
