Patsy Guinto, 93, of Camillus, passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at home, surrounded by his loving family. Patsy was born on November 11, 1922 in Syracuse to the late Nicholas and Angela Guinto. He was a graduate of Vocational High School and served in the Army Air Corps. during WWII with campaigns in Africa and many others. Patsy was employed at Carrier Corp. for 38 years before retiring. He had a winter home in Spring Hill, FL and a summer camp in Cape Vincent, NY, where he enjoyed fishing with his friends, especially Eddie.
Patsy was predeceased by his parents; first wife, Jane Szpunar, in 1975; second wife, Theresa O’Brian, in 2000; daughter, Maryann MacArthur, in 2013; six sisters; one brother; and several nieces and nephews.
Surviving are his son, Phillip (Donna); son-in-law, Robert MacArthur; sisters, Angela (Lewis) Romano, Nicolitte (Fred) Schimpff and Rosmary Shaver (Chuck Perolla); brother, Anthony; brother-in-law, Frank Catrone; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Friday, August 26 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
Services will be private. Patsy will be laid to rest in Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse.
