Patsy Ann “Patti” Wilson, 78, of Camillus, passed away Monday at Francis House. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, she was a graduate of Lafayette High School and earned her bachelor’s degree from West Virginia Wesleyan College. After college, Patti worked as a caseworker, then taught at East Hill Elementary School in Camillus. She spent many years with the Head Start program, then later with JCPenney. She was a member of the Immanuel United Methodist Church where she directed the handbell choir for 12 years. She enjoyed reading and dancing, but above all, loved spending time with her family.
Patti was predeceased by her parents, Beverly and Burt Shurtleff; and sister, MaryLea Howes.
Surviving are her husband of 52 years, Frederick; sons, Kevin (Alice) of Camden and Craig (Tracey) of Rock City Falls; daughter, Lara (Mitchell) Kline of Camillus; sister, Carleen (Ralph) Hodson of Baldwinsville; brother, Douglas (Kathie) Shurtleff of St. Peter’s, MO; grandchildren, Brad, Kevin, and Lily; and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Saturday, February 18 from 10 a.m. to noon at Immanuel United Methodist Church, 303 Kasson Rd., Camillus. A Memorial Service will follow at noon at the church.
