Patrick John "Pat" McPhillips Jr.

Patrick “Pat” McPhillips Jr., 60, of Camillus, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at home. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, he graduated from Corcoran High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Niagara University. Pat was employed for over 20 years with Ernst & Ernst before retiring and becoming a stay-at-home dad and chef. He loved photography, bird watching and walking his dogs on the Erie Canal.

Pat was predeceased by his parents, Patrick Sr. and Irene; and brother, Stephen.

Surviving are his wife and best friend of 36 years, the former Peggy Butler; daughters, Kerry McPhillips (James Reed), Lindsey (Brian) Mykulak and Lauren McPhillips (Chris Juiliani); son, Kevin (Michele Riso); four-legged girlfriend and walking companion, Athena; sister, Julie (Brian) Messenger; granddaughter, Avery Rose Mykulak; aunt, Barbara Staino; nieces, Ann and Neile Messenger; several cousins; and several grand-pets.

Relatives and friends may call Monday, August 22 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.

Services will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
