Patrick O'Connor, 52, of Syracuse, passed away January 27. He was a graduate of West Genesee High School, earned a bachelor's degree in marketing from SUNY Oswego in 1991, and later earned his master's degree in network engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1997. Patrick was a freelance photographer, specializing in nature photography. He was passionate about capturing the nature and beauty of the outdoors. Patrick also loved traveling, exploring, camping with his dogs, cycling, and skiing. He had a great sense of humor and loved watching TV comedies, especially “It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.” In addition to his human friends, Patrick was devoted to dogs, especially his beloved canine companions, Cali, Bud, Rossi, Wilson, and Libby.
Patrick was predeceased by his parents, Thomas O'Connor and Beverley Kelly.
Surviving are his sister, Christine Reichel and brother-in-law, Andrew Reichel, of Marcellus; nieces, Jillian Reichel of Levittown, PA and Lauren Reichel of Manhattan, NY; and several loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
