Patrick A. Hadlich, 52, of Auburn, passed away Sunday April 22, 2012 at VA Medical Center. Born in Waukegan, Illinois on Saturday, January 2, 1960, he was a lifetime resident of the Central New York area. He was a graduate of West Genesee High School and Onondaga Community College. Patrick served with the 174th Hancock Field Air National Guard Base as a firefighter. He served in Operation Just Cause, Panama and also Desert Shield and Desert Storm. He was a member of the Vineyard Church of Auburn. He was a former member of Camillus, Weedsport and Howlett Hill Fire Departments. An avid hunter and fisherman, he also enjoyed riding his motorcycle and loved spending time with his family. Patrick was predeceased by his first wife, Deborah, in 1993; and father, Curtiss in 2008. Surviving are his wife, Jean; daughter, Amy Hadlich of Shelby Township, Michigan; sons and daughter-in-law, Jordan and Adriene of Savannah, Shawn of Rochester, Michigan, and Jeremiah of Auburn; mother, Ann Hadlich of Marshall, Michigan; sister and brother-in-law, Michelle and Paul Salvatore of Syracuse; brothers and sisters-in-law, Kelly and Susan of Ceresco, Michigan and Phillip and Theresa of Camillus; grandchildren, Lukas Chandler, Kaylee Ahern, Konnor Hadlich and Zariel Hadlich; and stepchildren, Joe Lata of Shelby Township, Michigan, Ron Lata of Warren, Michigan, Charlene Mottler of Lansing, and Jude Mottler of Marion. Relatives and friends may call Thursday, April 26 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Services will follow at noon at the funeral home. Patrick will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Howlett Hill Fire Dept., 3384 Howlett Hill Rd., Syracuse, NY 13215.
