Patricia "Pat" (Sacco) Popps
February 10, 1941 — October 8, 2016
Patricia "Pat" (Sacco) Popps, 75, of Camillus, passed away Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Crouse Hospital. A lifetime resident of Syracuse, she was a graduate of Vocational High School.
A communicant of St. Joseph's Church, Pat was a member of the Altar Rosary Society and funeral guild. She also was a member of the Camillus Elk's Auxiliary and Fairmount Fire Dept. Ladies' Auxiliary. She enjoyed Bingo, Mahjong and Bunco but above all, loved spending time with her family and friends.
Patricia was predeceased by her parents, Annunziato and Frances Sacco; son, Michael Popps, in 1994; great-granddaughter, Kylie Rose Popps, in 2013; and brothers, John, Vincent, Carmen and Richard Sacco.
Surviving are her husband, John; daughter, Michele Popps of Camillus; sons, Stephen of Liverpool and Gregory (Nancy) of Fairmount; sister, Carol Kowalewski of CA; brothers, Frank (Rose) Sacco of Fairmount, Robert (Jodie) Sacco and Anthony Sacco, both of FL and Ronald (Theresa) Sacco of Camillus; sisters-in-law, Rosemarie Sacco, Lois Sacco and Eileen Butera; brother-in-law, James Popps; grandchildren, Brianna Popps and Kaitlyn Mazzacco; great-grandson, Jameson Popps; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Thursday, October 13 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, October 14 at 9:30 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church. Patricia will be laid to rest in Assumption Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Church Funeral Guild, 5600 W. Genesee St., Camillus 13031 or to the Fairmount Fire Department, 4611 W. Genesee St., Syracuse, NY 13219.
