Patricia J. Fletcher, 73, of Camillus, passed away peacefully Saturday, May 21, 2011, at University Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Syracuse on June 6, 1937, to the late Howard and Mary Allen. Pat was a devoted employee to the Town of Camillus, first as assistant town clerk, and most recently, as receiver of taxes. An active member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #8664, she was state president of the ladies' auxiliary and past Mrs. Republican of the Year. Pat was a volunteer for the Veterans Administration Volunteer Services and communicant of St. Joseph’s Church. She sold butterflies to benefit the National Home for Children and poppies for the VFW and ladies’ auxiliary. She also enjoyed bowling, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Pat was predeceased by her brother, Richard A. Allen; and niece, Denise Graver. Surviving are her faithful and loving husband of 54 years, Edward R. Fletcher; daughter, Theresa Reamsnyder of Camillus; sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel and Martha Fletcher of Baldwinsville, Scott and Renee Fletcher of Syracuse and Christopher and Melissa Fletcher of Camillus; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren with one on the way; and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Wednesday, May 25 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Rev. Gregory LeStrange will celebrate a funeral Mass Thursday, May 26 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church. Pat will be laid to rest in Maplewood Cemetery, Camillus.
