Patricia Ann Janes Clendenin, 82, of Camillus, passed away at home on August 15. Born in Rockford, IL, to Lillian Florine Herndon Janes and H. Arthur Janes, her family moved to Indianapolis, IN, in 1948. A graduate of North Central High School, Pat earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Art Education from Indiana University Bloomington. At IU, she was a member of the Pi Beta Phi sorority. After graduation, Pat worked as a stewardess for Delta Airlines while continuing her education at Princeton University and completing two years of graduate work in studio art at the University of Cincinnati. She spent the rest of her career doing what she loved most, art. Pat not only created art but shared her amazing skills through art education. She was abundantly loved and admired by all those that knew her, and a radiant light that will always burn brightly in our memories.
Pat was predeceased by her parents.

Clendenin of Camillus; adoring son, Alec Edward (Alison Dwyer) Hoke of Cazenovia; siblings, Dawn Ellen (John) Janes Mercer of Indianapolis, IN, Thomas Arthur Janes of Corona, CA, Catherine Elizabeth Janes High of Milwaukee, WI, and Richard Edward (Joellen) Janes of Waukesha, WI; and grandchildren, Cameron Barlow Hoke of Syracuse and Olivia Elise Hoke of Fayetteville, NY.
Services will be private.
Pat and Robert’s conviction was “The strongest proxy for incarceration in a child's lifetime is difficulty reading in the 3rd grade.”
