Patricia Ann Simone Franquelin

Patricia Ann Simone Franquelin, a cherished and dedicated daughter, mother, wife, sister and friend passed away peacefully on January 13, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was a trailblazing professional, a beacon of light, and left an indelible mark on all she interacted with.

Pat was a proud graduate of West Genesee High School and received her Bachelor of Science degree from SUNY Cortland. She went on to pursue her dream career, spending over 37 years at L’Oreal, where her passion, dedication, hard work, and commitment led to a successful rise to vice president of the Luxe division, from which she retired in 2020.

As a middle child of eight, Pat deeply valued family togetherness. She was always the “hostess with the mostess”, regularly opening her home for holidays and gatherings. Through the years, she brought us together to celebrate our love for one another and our ever-growing family.

Pat was a woman on the move; she loved to travel, whether for work, family or friends. She cherished spending time with her husband, son, daughter-in-law, and grandsons.

Pat was predeceased by her parents, Richard and Eileen (Graser) Simone.

She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Marcel; son, Kevin (Beth); beloved grandsons, Liam and Conor; stepson, Cédric; and grandsons, Nathan and Louis; siblings, all of whom will deeply miss her presence, Richard V. Jr. (Patricia), Benjamin (Mary), Susan (Frank), Mary, Thomas (Karen), Barbara, and John (Micky); and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Pat’s family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Dr. Kevin Weadock, her son’s father, for his loving support, care, and compassion. Your kindness and dedication brought comfort to Pat and our family during a difficult time, and we are grateful for the support you provided.

In honor of Pat’s life, a Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 9 a.m. at Holy Family Church, 127 Chapel Dr., Syracuse.
