Patricia A. Kenific, 88, of Camillus, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday. She was born in Niagara Falls in 1932 to Bernard and Edna Shanahan and received her bachelor’s degree from Niagara University. Patricia lived in Camillus since 1971 and was a communicant of Holy Family Church. She was a former volunteer at Francis House and loved spending time with her family and Bridge Club friends.
Patricia was predeceased by her husband, Robert; brother, Bernard F. Jr.; and her parents.
Surviving are her daughters, Karen (Tim) Scanlon of Brewerton and Mary (Chuck) Moonen of Bradenton, Fl; sons, Robert (Sindee) Jr. of Hillsborough, NJ, Kevin of Budd Lake, NJ and John (Katie) of Westford, MA; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Sr. Colleen Shanahan of Lewiston; sisters-in-law, Jean Crowell and Lurana Shanahan; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Thursday, March 4 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Face coverings are required.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, March 4 at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Church, 127 Chapel Dr., Syracuse. Patricia will be laid to rest Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Syracuse.
