Pamela Fisher Sprong, 62, of Syracuse, passed away Thursday, February 18. Born on Wednesday, February 18, 1948 in Syracuse, she was the daughter of the late Dorothy N.F. Dygert and Thomas Fisher. A lifetime resident of Syracuse, Pam graduated with honors from Syracuse University in 1969 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Work/Child Development and Family Relations. She also received a Master’s Degree in Education from Syracuse University in 1988. While an undergraduate, she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Society. Pam enjoyed helping and interacting with people and did so throughout her career as a social worker, homemaker, antique dealer and teacher. She was predeceased by her sister, Susan Ginestro. Surviving are three sons, Corey Sprong of Fayetteville, and Dana and Nathan Sprong, both of Cincinnati, Ohio; four grandchildren; two sisters, Nanette Skipp of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Janice Sheridan of Marcellus; one brother: David Dygert of Canandaigua; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great-nephews. A memorial service will be at noon on Saturday, February 27 at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus with Rev. Gary E. Ferner officiating. Relatives and friends may call preceding the service from 11 a.m. until noon at the funeral home.
