Olive Sobolewski Sade

Olive Sobolewski Sade, 86, of Fairmount, passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at Loretto. Born in Syracuse on Wednesday, November 4, 1925, she was the daughter of Stanley Sobolewski and Helen Brzostek Sobolewski. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, she was a graduate of Central High School. Olive worked for many years in the family business, Stan’s Dry Cleaning, on Park Ave. She was a communicant of the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and member of the Altar & Rosary Society. She was also an avid sports fan and enjoyed traveling. Olive was predeceased by her husband, Joseph. Surviving are several cousins and dear friends. Relatives and friends may call Thursday, October 25 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Services will be at 12:15 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and at 1 p.m. in the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. Olive will be laid to rest in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Geddes. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, 927 Park Ave., Syracuse, NY 13204.
