Olga (Hoomany) Macko, 90, of Lakeland, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Upstate University Hospital at Community General. A lifetime resident of Lakeland, she graduated from Solvay High School. Olga was employed with Bristol-Myers Squibb for over 20 years before retiring in 1988 and previously worked for R.E. Dietz. A communicant of SS. Peter & Paul Orthodox Church, she was a member of the Junior "R" Club and Lakeland Senior Citizens. Olga enjoyed gardening and painting, but above all, loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a caregiver to all of her family and friends.
Olga was predeceased by her husband, John, in 1998; three sisters; and three brothers.
Surviving are her daughters, Sandra (Jack Duger) Losito of Baldwinsville and Tamara (Dan) McCall of Tampa, FL; grandsons, Evan and Adam McCall; and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Monday, August 28 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus. Panikhida service will be at 6:30 p.m.
Services will be Tuesday, August 29 at noon in SS. Peter & Paul Orthodox Church. Olga will be laid to rest in SS. Peter & St. Paul Russian Orthodox Catholic Cemetery, Syracuse.
