Norma Frances Martin Moore, 90, of Camillus, passed away Wednesday at Francis House. Born in Syracuse, she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Emma Green Martin. Norma was a 1950 graduate of Central High School and was employed by NY Telephone Co. for seven years. A communicant of Holy Family Church, Norma was also a former member and president of the Altar & Rosary Society, captain of funeral luncheons, and volunteered with bingo. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, gardening, and doing puzzles.
Norma was predeceased by her husband of 69 years, Elwin “Howie”, in 2021; infant son, Timothy Gerard; sisters, Marjorie Phillips and Marion Wierowski; and brothers, Joseph and Bradley Martin.
Surviving are her daughter, Kathleen (Jack) Guthrie of Camillus; sons, John (Marcia) and Christopher, both of Camillus, and Gerald (Clare) of Auburn; brothers, Richard (Anna Marie) Martin of Liberty, MO and Charles (Sue) Martin of Deerfield Beach, FL; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Monday, August 1 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, August 2 at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Church. Norma will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Holy Family Church, 127 Chapel Dr., Syracuse, NY 13219.
