Nancy (Young) Motondo, 88, formerly of Camillus, passed away Sunday, July 2, 2017 at Cottage Grove in Rochester. Born in Syracuse, she lived most of her life in Camillus until moving to Rochester in 2003.
A graduate of the University of Rochester, Nancy was a nurse practitioner for over 40 years with Planned Parenthood and previously with Community General Hospital. She was a former member of Fairmount Community Church, United Church of Christ, very active with the SPAAMFAA and the Ladies Auxiliary of Fairmount Fire Department. She was a longtime Syracuse Chiefs fan and season ticket holder.
Nancy was predeceased by her husband, Clark Sr., in 2002.
Surviving are her daughters, Cheryl (Bruce) Taylor of Rochester and Sue Ellen (Robert) Trowbridge of Hilton; sons, Clark "Skip" (Nancy) Jr. of North Syracuse and Paul (Rebecca) of Cicero; sister, Sue Palmerton of Winston-Salem, NC; grandchildren, Jason, Jennifer, Angela, Nicole, Paul Jr., Jon, Blake, Carly, Luke, Ally and Zachary; and many wonderful great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Friday, July 14 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
Services will be Saturday, July 15 at 9 a.m. in Fairmount Community Church, United Church of Christ. Nancy will be laid to rest in Onondaga Valley Cemetery.
