Nancy S. Myers, 89, of Camillus, passed away Wednesday at home. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, she graduated from Syracuse University. Nancy was an elementary school teacher for the West Genesee School District for several years. A communicant of St. Joseph’s Church, she volunteered at the food pantry. Nancy was an avid golfer and a longtime member of Tuscarora Golf Club. She enjoyed traveling, spending winters in Florida, and playing cards, including pitch and bridge. Most of all, she loved spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren.
Nancy was predeceased in 2013 by her husband of 50 years, Bill; and son-in-law, Carlos Davila.
Surviving are her daughter, Julie Davila of North Syracuse; son, W. Jeff (Martha) of Camillus; grandchildren, Kelcey, Lexie, Patrick, Neal, and Brian Myers, and Christian and Carlos Davila; one niece; and several nephews.
There will be no calling hours.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, December 7 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church.
Nancy will be laid to rest in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Joseph’s Food Pantry, 5600 W. Genesee St., Camillus, NY 13031 or to Hospice of CNY & Hospice of the Finger Lakes, 990 Seventh North St., Liverpool, NY 13088.
