Nancy K. (Fay) Donaldson

Nancy K. (Fay) Donaldson, 69, of Stuart, FL, formerly of Syracuse, passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Martin Memorial Hospital in Stuart, FL. A lifetime resident of the Syracuse area, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Betty Fay. Nancy graduated from Valley High School and Crouse Irving School of Nursing. She started her career as a registered nurse in the Crouse Irving Coronary Care Unit and was also employed with Empire BlueCross BlueShield of CNY for several years and Lafayette Junior-Senior High School for 20 years.
Surviving are her husband, James Donaldson of Stuart, FL; son, Brendan (Karen) Burghardt of Lake Worth, FL; daughter, Kirsten (Josh) Pearson of Stuart, FL; stepdaughter, Jeannie (Bill) Hinson of Boise, ID; sister, Marion (Donald) Cook of Camillus; grandchildren, Hannah and Samuel Burghardt, both of Lake Worth, FL and Megan (Cody) Peterman and Emily Hinson, both of Boise, ID; uncle, Norris (Linda) Fay of Syracuse; cousin, Dorothy (Jim) Colegrove of Wellsboro, PA; brother-in-law, Lance (Patti) Burghardt of Skaneateles; sisters-in-law, Judy Halverson of Oroville, CA, Robyn (Don) Elkinton of Austin, TX and Robin (Kevin) Boland of Winter Springs, FL; dearest friend and “dark-haired sister,” Sarah Beechinor of Baldwinsville; the folk choir of St. James Church; and her beloved pup, Nellie.
Services and burial will be at a later date.
