Nancy F. Hamilton

Nancy F. Hamilton, 95, of Syracuse, passed away January 10 at her Summerfield home. She grew up in Central Square but resided in Syracuse as an adult. Nancy received her R.N. degree from Syracuse General Hospital. She enlisted in the Cadet Nurse Corps during WWII, was an industrial nurse at Oberdorfer Foundry, and finally retired from the American Red Cross. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Syracuse as well as the Syracuse Rose Society, Onondaga Hill Garden Club, Bridge Club, and Ononbago Winnies International Travelers.

Nancy was predeceased by her husband, William Hamilton; parents, Robert and Anna Faulter; brothers, Robert, Kenneth, Donald and Milton Faulter; sisters, Carolyn Pieroni and Laura Clark.

Surviving are her daughter, Carol Hamilton; sister, Patricia (Lowell) Twitchell; granddaughter, Leda Gibbs; former son-in-law, Stanton Gibbs; and many nieces, nephews and counsins.

Nancy was immensely fortunate to have been lovingly cared for by Marsha, Tammy, Sameerah, Mona, Jamie and Chantina during her final days. A special thank you to the staff at Brookdale Summerfield as well.

Services will be planned for a later date. Nancy will be laid to rest in Hillside Memorial Cemetery, Central Square.
