Nancy Gertrude Crandall, 96, of Syracuse, passed away Friday at Loretto Health & Rehabilitation. Born and raised in Pennsylvania, she graduated from Coughlin High School before moving to the Syracuse area in 1966. Nancy was employed by Blue Cross Blue Shield as a claims specialist for over 25 years and was previously a LPN in PA. A communicant of St. Joseph’s Church, she was a member of the Moose Lodge in Solvay and the Ancient Order of Hibernians.
Nancy was predeceased by her first husband, Daniel Hogan; second husband, Fred Crandall; parents, Peter and Ann Cunningham; granddaughter, Tera Ann Schilling; four sisters; and two brothers.
Surviving are her daughter, Ann (Terry) Williams; son, Daniel (Sandra) Hogan; grandson, Scott (Amy) Hogan; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call Wednesday, October 25 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church, 5600 W. Genesee St., Camillus. A funeral Mass will follow at the church.
Nancy will be laid to rest in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Wilkes Barre, PA.
