Nancy Ann (Lingyak) Spillett, 88, of Camillus, died peacefully Saturday, July 8, 2017 at St. Joseph's Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. The daughter of August W. Lingyak and Hazel Jennings, Nancy was a lifetime resident of Camillus and a devout communicant of Holy Family Church. She was a dedicated volunteer at Francis House and a hot dog griller extraordinaire for the West Genesee Booster Club. She loved traveling, playing Bingo and Scrabble and spending time with her large family.
Nancy was predeceased by her parents; husband, Allan; son, Daniel; and sisters, Joan McManus, Mary Petosa and Kathleen Arcaro.
Surviving are her children, William (Janice), Theresa and Gary (Cindy), all of Camillus; Kathryn (Michael) DeSorbo and Nancy Ziobro (Dan Cook), both of Cicero, Thomas (Stacey) of Warners and James (Margaret) of Fulton; daughter-in-law, Julie of Liverpool; 19 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 12 at the Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, July 13 at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Church, 127 Chapel Dr., Fairmount. Private burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery, Camillus.
