Muriel Stevens Furtch, 90, of Camillus, passed away Friday, September 11, 2009 at home. Born in White Plains on Thursday, December 5, 1918, she was the daughter of George and Maryann Alcher Stevens. She resided in Syracuse, Westvale and Camillus. Muriel graduated from Central High School in 1936 and was a graduate of Powelson Institute. She retired as an executive secretary for Niagara Mohawk Power Corp. in 1957. A member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church, she was an avid reader and baker. Her husband, Theodore F. Furtch, died July 9, 1985. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Theodore and Cheryl Furtch of Camillus. Services will be private. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are by Buranich Funeral Home, Camillus. Entombment will be in Woodlawn Mausoleum. Contributions may be made to St. Michael's Lutheran Church, 5108 W.
