Miriam L. Domres, 84, of Fairmount, passed away Monday, December 28, 2009 at St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center. Born in Ithaca, on Tuesday, May 5, 1925, she was the daughter of William Charles Morris and Agnes Gertrude O’Connor Morris. She graduated from Ithaca High School and lived in Fairmount since 1959. Miriam worked 27 years in the parish office of Holy Family Church as an executive secretary, retiring in 2005. A communicant of Holy Family Church, she was a member of the Altar & Rosary Society for 57 years. She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed nature, gardens and flowers. Miriam also enjoyed her summers at Delaware Shores and most recently her trip to Italy. She loved traveling and spending time with her family. Miriam was predeceased by her husband, Walter, in 1982; brothers, Robert and William Morris; and sister, Marguerite Gonzalez. Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Dan Rehberg of Webster, Nancy and James Flattery of Syracuse and Cindy Domres of Baltimore, Maryland; sons and daughter-in-law, Martin and Cheryl of Baltimore, Maryland and Robert of Charlotte, North Carolina; and grandchildren, Caitlin, Shannon and Patrick. Services will be at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, January 9, 2010 at Buranich Funeral Home, 5431 W. Genesee St., Camillus and at 9 a.m. in Holy Family Church where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. Relatives and friends may call Friday, January 8, 2010 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Miriam will be laid to rest in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt.
